Project Challenges

The main challenge was building a scalable and stable link-building strategy that not only withstands algorithm updates but also helps maintain and strengthen visibility in a competitive environment where every position in the SERP carries real value.

An additional factor was the gradual shift of organic visibility toward AI-generated answers, which began capturing a significant share of informational traffic. At the same time, these answers increasingly serve as the user’s first point of contact with the brand and influence subsequent conversion behavior.

As a result, classic link building no longer guaranteed stable growth: it was necessary to take into account the influence of AI output, behavioral signals, and brand mentions. The strategy had to work simultaneously on SEO positioning, commercial visibility, and brand presence in the new search format.

We focused on two directions that work best together.

A Note on Reddit

After posting comments, we regularly monitored discussion threads and private messages. In many cases, users asked clarifying questions or requested additional details, so we continued to maintain dialogue and responded within the discussion.

This approach not only allowed us to maintain the naturalness of the mentions, but also to strengthen trust in the brand and form additional behavioral signals.

Such mentions work not as a “link,” but as a social signal, which today has a significant impact on AI output.

 

 

All mentions were fully natural and aligned with the platform’s format:

  • posted in communities where the topic was already actively discussed.

Anchor Strategy

To support the growth of key pages and maintain a natural profile, we chose a balanced approach to anchors.

This distribution allowed us to simultaneously strengthen commercial pages and maintain the naturalness of the profile. We deliberately avoided aggressive optimization to minimize risks and ensure long-term stability.

Over two years of work, we confirmed that high-quality outreach delivers the most stable long-term impact and continues to perform even in highly competitive niches.

The combination of editorial content and Reddit activity resulted in a balanced backlink and brand profile that remained resilient through algorithm updates and changes in search result formats.

Future Plans

Further strategy development includes expanding content capabilities and entering broader donor markets. We plan to increase editorial placements, add expert commentary, and test new media collaboration formats.

Reddit will remain a key channel: we will expand the number of relevant subreddits and deepen participation in discussions. In addition, we will focus on premium media placements to further strengthen domain authority and accelerate growth in highly competitive clusters.
